Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival to kick off summer season at Beaver Creek May 28-29

The summer season at Beaver Creek kicks off Memorial Day weekend with the seventh annual Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29. This signature summer event serves up delicious barbeque fare cooked by visiting chefs from across the country, as well as Vail Valley favorites, complimented by microbrews from a variety of national breweries. Bring the whole family out to celebrate the start of summer with complimentary kids' activities offered throughout the weekend.

The sounds of free live blues music will fill the air as guests sample and sip their way around the village plaza from 12-6 p.m. with performances each day by Tommy Thomas & the Working Man's Band, Seth Walker and Eric Lindell. Anheuser Busch, along with several other breweries, will be providing refreshments for the event and more mouthwatering microbrews will be available for sampling at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa as they host the largest exclusively Colorado microbrew tasting in the state on Saturday, May 28 from 1-5 p.m. For ticket information call the Park Hyatt at 970-949-1234.

Continue to indulge Memorial Day weekend with the first culinary demonstration series of the summer season. Chefs from visiting and local restaurants will provide complimentary demonstrations at the Bon Appétit tent in Beaver Creek Plaza Saturday and Sunday afternoon as part of the Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival. Demos will take place at 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. each day.
