Eagle County commissioners to weigh proposal for new districts
The Eagle County Board of Commissioners will consider adoption of proposed commissioner districts during its regular meeting on Tuesday. The meeting begins at 9 a.m., June 28, in the Eagle County Room, located at 500 Broadway in Eagle, and will be aired live on ecotv18 as well as streamed live and archived at www.ecotv18.com.
Colorado law requires the county to evaluate commissioner districts every ten years following the completion of the U.S. Census. Districts must be as nearly equal in population as possible, based on Census counts. As proposed, the plan includes minor adjustments to the existing boundaries and a hearing held in May garnered no public input.
Maps of the existing and proposed commissioner districts are available online at www.eaglecounty.us.
