30 pot plants seized on banks of Colorado River near Burns
The Eagle County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management on Sunday confiscated 30 marijuana plants 20 miles up Colorado River Road on BLM land near Burns.
Two men fishing in the area stumbled upon the grow operation 100 feet off of the Colorado River and notified the Eagle County Sheriff's Office. The plants varied from 1 to 2 feet high and were all growing in plastic bags with potting soil.
