Stellar new auction item added

The clock is ticking and the stakes keep getting higher as the 2013 edition of the Vail Valley Foundation’s Youth Foundation Star Dancing Gala benefit on Thursday, July 18, draws near.

“This year’s theme is ‘Dare to Dream: Change the World’,” explained Susie Davis, Vice President of Education for the Vail Valley Foundation. “Thanks to the generous support of our Star Dancing Gala participants, we are able to challenge our local youth to continue to dream big, knowing that we can help change their world.”

If helping children throughout Eagle County and enjoying a great evening of dinner and celebrity dancing isn’t enough, a trio of great new items have been added to the auction list, providing great getaways and one-of-a-kind sports experiences for those lucky enough to be in attendance.

Heading up the new additions is a weeklong escape to a luxurious five-bedroom villa at Crocus Bay in Anguilla, British West Indies. Days will be spent relaxing on the beach, scuba diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing or just relaxing in the spa. Accommodations include daily housekeeping, dedicated Inspirato concierge service and pre-arrival grocery shopping.

For those looking for a bit faster pace, book a Memorial Day to remember at the Indianapolis 500 with Mario Andretti and Buddy Lazier. The weekend will include silver badge credentials, a lap around the track with Andretti at the wheel and exclusive pit passes with the team prior to race start. Watch the race from the most exclusive seats in the house and witness the award ceremony.

If Memorial Day isn’t your choice, then how about ringing in the New Year in Phoenix as a VIP at the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl? Enjoy New Year’s Eve at the renowned Posh Restaurant before gearing up for the kickoff luncheon and the VIP pre-game party. Then, catch all the game action from premium seats on the 50-yard line. In addition to the stellar slate of auction items, the fifth annual Star Dancing Gala will once again feature dance performances, showcasing notable local “celebrities” and professional dancers, modeled after the television hit “Dancing With The Stars”, with each couple rolling out a different genre of dance.

Getting underway at 5:30 p.m. at the Vail Valley Jet Center in Gypsum, the 2013 edition of Star Dancing Gala will benefit the Youth Foundation’s mission of fostering growth, development and success of children throughout the community.

“This wonderful evening doesn’t end with dancing,” offered Davis. “The effects of Star Dancing Gala are experienced daily all year through opportunities for local children. This is what constantly reminds us to continue to dare to dream.”
