Vail Town Council to consider bicycle dismount zone
The Vail Town Council will consider establishing a bike and skateboard dismount zone in the Vail Village pedestrian area at its evening meeting on Tuesday, June 18. The item is listed fourth on the meeting agenda which begins at 6 p.m. in the Vail Town Council Chambers and will include opportunities for public comment.
The discussion follows concerns that have been forwarded to the police department regarding bicycle and skateboard riders in the area of Bridge and Wall Streets, and Gore Creek Drive. The Town Council will determine if a dismount zone should be enacted to increase safety for pedestrians in Vail Village.
