Westin Riverfront named #1 Western Resort by Condé Nast Traveler
The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain is very proud to announce that it has been ranked #1 in the “Top 40 Resorts in the West” category in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2012 Readers’ Choice Awards.
The 2012 Readers’ Choice poll also features a list of the “Top 100 Hotels & Resorts in the World,” ranking The Westin Riverfront #42 for its “excellent location by the lifts that allows guests to take the Riverfront Express Gondola to the base of Beaver Creek Mountain” and "amazing hot tubs and pool."
A record 46,476 readers participated in the 25th annual Readers' Choice survey, which ranks the world’s best cities, islands, cruise lines, airlines, hotels and resorts and is featured in the November issue of the magazine. This year, for the first time, the list is broken up by region.
“We are thrilled to remain at the top of this prestigious list thanks to the continued support of our loyal guests,” said Westin Riverfront General Manager Timothy Wolfe. “We are especially pleased that the Condé Nast Traveler readers highlighted our ‘fantastic and friendly’ staff, because offering each guest a superior luxury experience is something that we pride ourselves on.”
Opened in 2008, The Westin Riverfront was Colorado’s first Silver LEED certified hotel. The resort has earned many industry accolades in the past four years, including being named #1 U.S. Ski Resort for both 2010 and 2011 by Condé Nast Traveler.
Developed by Colorado’s East West Partners, the AAA Four Diamond Westin Riverfront features 230 finely appointed guest residences ranging from studio suites to three-bedroom condominiums, all featuring custom kitchens, five-piece bathrooms, gas fireplaces and Westin Heavenly Beds.
Amenities at the dog-friendly resort include a ski valet, a Westin Kids Club, the state-of-the-art Athletic Club at The Westin, a year-round outdoor pool and three riverside infinity-edged hot tubs. Spa Anjali offers an extensive menu of treatments focusing on healing mountain traditions. Cima by internationally acclaimed Chef Richard Sandoval is a contemporary Latin kitchen that blends traditional Latino flavors with global ingredients and cooking techniques.
This year, The Westin Riverfront completed an $875,000 expansion of its meeting space – it now offers more than 7,500 square feet of flexible mountain event space - as well as a $1 million expansion of its wellness facilities, including new yoga, cycling and Pilates studios.
Located on the banks of the Eagle River, The Westin Riverfront offers direct skier access to Beaver Creek Mountain via the Riverfront Express Gondola in the winter and amazing fly fishing, hiking, whitewater rafting, mountain biking and golf in the spring, summer and fall.
