Vail Police arrest two suspects for stealing coat , other goods in Vail Sept. 11
Vail Police arrested two theft suspects Sept. 11 following an incident at the Avalon clothing store at 675 Lionshead Place. Police were responding to a report of a coat stolen from the business at 1:04 p.m.
With a description of two suspects provided by the store clerk, officers contacted two males that fit the description in the parking lot of a nearby lodge shortly after the theft was reported.
After completing an investigation, officers recovered the coat as well as other items believed to be stolen from additional businesses in Vail.
Victor Rodriguez, 67, of Canoga Park, Calif., and Juan Roman, 63, of Alta Loma, Calif., were arrested and charged with two counts of class four felony theft. Rodriguez is accused of acting as a decoy during the thefts.
