Vail man found dead in garage of Buffehr Creek home
The Vail Police Department today reported the death of a Vail man in the Buffehr Creek area.
At 11:24 a.m. on May 24, Vail Police responded to a report of an unresponsive male at 1390 Buffehr Creek Rd., in Vail. When police arrived they found the body of a Webster “Webb” Atwell, 51, of Vail, in the front seat of his car which was parked in the garage of his residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Eagle County Coroner's Office and Vail Police are conducting an investigation into the incident. At this time, there is no indication of any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. The Eagle County Coroner's Office says the cause and manner of death will be determined when an autopsy is completed.
