MojoMan obstacle challenge coming to Vail, Heavenly this summer
Registration is now open for MojoMan, the widely anticipated obstacle challenge coming to Vail and Heavenly, Calif. during summer 2012.
MojoMan is an obstacle challenge unlike any other. The 2012 events are set to happen in two of the most beautiful locations on the planet – Vail, Colo. and Heavenly, Cailf. The high elevations and tough terrain of these locations also make them two of the most challenging in the world for this type of event. MojoMan's killer nine-mile courses feature more than 30 insane obstacles custom designed for each event by World Adventure Racing Champion Mike Kloser, who has put his vast experience in obstacle challenges to use to create the most imaginative and exciting courses possible.
“We know participants are looking for a true challenge and a great time. I wanted to create a course and obstacles unlike anything I've seen in my long history of racing,” Kloser said. “I can safely say we've accomplished that task. Our obstacles and courses are definitely going to be creative and, at times, very tough.”
MojoMan will put on two events in the summer of 2012. The first event will take place over Memorial Day Weekend, May 26-27, in Vail, Colo. The second event will happen in Heavenly, Calif. Aug. 18-19. Each course will be unique to the location, but participants can expect to encounter plenty of mud, water and even fire with obstacles that incorporate elements from the mountain terrain parks, floating platforms, barbed wire, massive water slides and much more. MojoMan also boasts a $10,000 cash purse to be divided between the top five male and top five female participants in the competitive division and other prizes for the top five finishing competitive teams. Following the completion of the event each day, MojoMan will host an after party complete with plenty of libations, like Shock Top beer, awesome food and rocking live music.
What truly makes MojoMan different from the rest of the obstacle challenges on the scene is the variety and number of obstacles on each course, the superiority of the event locations, the large cash purse, cool swag and the quality of the after party.
“We've made it our priority to offer an event experience that is above and beyond what can be found at any other event of this kind while keeping participation in MojoMan fairly priced,” said Jeff Brausch of Highline, producer of MojoMan. “Hosting MojoMan events in world-class locations and offering a considerable cash purse are just two of the many ways that MojoMan sets itself apart.”
Registration for the Vail, Colo. MojoMan event now is available online at www.mojoman.com. Registration for the Heavenly event will be open soon. Registration costs $75-$125 per person, and participants are encouraged to register as early as possible to lock in the best pricing. Participants can sign up to participate as individuals or as a part of a co-ed team. Participants who choose to vie for the $10,000 cash purse or for the team prizes must sign up for the respective competitive divisions, which will compete on Sunday only. MojoMan also has a teen category for participants ages 13-17 who wish to participate in a shorter version of the challenge for just $25. There are no fees charged for spectators.
