Town of Vail to host council candidate briefing, public forum
Vail Town Manager Stan Zemler will host a public briefing for Vail Town Council candidates from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 13 in the Town Council Chambers. The briefing will include a budget overview and updates on topics ranging from redevelopment of Timber Ridge to parking. Candidates also will be encouraged to ask questions of the town staff for additional information-gathering.
Eight candidates are running for four open council seats in the Nov. 8 municipal election. The candidates are (in alphabetical order): Stephen Connolly, Andrew P. Daly, Farrow Hitt, Rayla J. Kundolf, Ludwig Kurz, Bud Lazier, Greg Moffet and Margaret Rogers.
Also, all interested parties are invited to attend a public candidate forum meeting sponsored by the Vail Chamber and Business Association from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 20 at Donovan Pavilion, 1600 South Frontage Road West, Vail, CO.
