Another whopper storm washes away spring thoughts
More snow expected for the weekend
Well, that was a nice 72-hour cycle. More than three feet of snow in the last 72 hours for some Colorado resorts, and 2 feet on average for nearly all resorts north of Telluride.
Awesome skiing Monday and Tuesday as temps and snow felt like mid-January. We see a few light showers today and tonight as northwest flow will still dominate through the week.
On-mountain temps will again be in the mid 20's and overnight lows may reach the teens. Northwest winds will be gusty at times, with winds in the 15-mph range sustained and gusts in the 25-mph range.
Thursday, March 31, should see 2-4 inches of new snow at Vail/Beaver Creek, with Aspen/Snowmass in the 1-3 inch range. Thursday night a quick system will move in from our north, giving us another shot at a bit more accumulating snow.
The outlook for the weekend looks favorable as another, more potent storm moves through our area. For now, go harvest those tree stashes and hard-to-find glades, as there should be tons of snow to hit.
Enjoy!
