Sexual assault suspect in Old Edwards Estates flees after being bitten by victim

The Eagle County Sheriff's Office is investigating the sexual assault of a woman in the Old Edwards Estates neighborhood of Edwards at 1 this morning. Deputies are asking for help in identifying and locating a male suspect who fled the scene after he was bitten by the victim.

The victim described her attacker as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s with a nearly shaved head. The attacker has earrings and a piercing above his right eye and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.

During the assault, the victim fought back and bit her attacker on the neck. The bite stopped the attack, and the suspect ran off. The victim then notified her parents and sheriff's deputies.
