Vail will go to its spring operating schedule Friday, keeping all front side lifts open until 4 p.m., with the exception of the Sourdough Lift (Chair 14), which will close at 3:30 p.m.

Lifts and ski terrain in Game Creek, Sun Up, Sun Down, Tea Cup, China, Siberia, Inner and Outer Mongolia Bowls will now close at 3:30 p.m. Blue Sky Basin's Skyline Express Lift (Chair 37) and Earl's Express Lift (Chair 38) will now close at 3 p.m., and Pete's Express Lift (Chair 39) will now close at 2:45 p.m.

All ticket office and Vail Snowsports School locations in Vail will continue to be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday, however, season pass restrictions will be effect at both Vail and Beaver Creek for the President's Day Weekend.

The Colorado Pass; Merchant Pass; School Employee Pass; and Other Pass (Guest Fee and Community Relations) will be blacked out Saturday and Sunday.

For questions about a particular pass product contact the pass offices. Restricted pass holders may ski or snowboard Feb. 19-20 by showing their pass and purchasing a discounted lift ticket at any ticket window; rate varies by pass type.

Restricted season pass holders with Resort Charge will automatically be charged the applicable rate on their credit card when the restricted pass is scanned at Vail and Beaver Creek on Feb. 19-20.

Beaver Creek Resort has lifted season pass restrictions for foot passengers only on the Strawberry Park Express Lift (Chair 12) Feb. 19-20. Snowshoe and cross country enthusiasts can stop by the Nordic Sports Center and pick up a foot passenger ticket to ride the lift and take advantage of the 32 kilometers of trail in mountaintop McCoy Park, which features designated track for skate and cross country skiers as well as marked trails for snowshoeing.

Nordic and snowshoe rentals are available in the Nordic Sports Center, which is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at the base of the Strawberry Park Express Lift.

For more information, call the Vail Mountain Activities & Information Center at (970) SKI-VAIL (754-8245) or the Beaver Creek Information Center at (970) 754-4636.
