EagleVail, the valley's first family community now celebrating 40 years, invites everyone to “Come Play with Us” during the nation's birthday week. Moonlight swimming, the Firecracker golf Tourney, and special values highlight the week.

EagleVail's community pool is the perfect place to beat the heat, cook up some hot dogs and enjoy the holiday. Splash around under July's full moon until 10 p.m. on Monday, July 2 or wake up to an early morning lap swim offered at 6 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday. The lap swim supported by world-class XTERRA athlete Josiah Middaugh's workouts designed to increase endurance and speed in the water. Drop ins welcome - $6 fee. Water aerobics are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10 a.m. $4 drop-in fee. The pool is open daily, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Adults and youth $12; children 5 and under free. Call for more information, 970-949-1203.

Celebrate EagleVail's newly remodeled mountain valley course at the annual Firecracker Golf Tournament, Tuesday, July 3. This popular two-person scramble tournament costs $75 which includes entry, cart and greens fees. Warm up your game in the Long Drive competition on Tuesday, open to everyone. Enjoy a barbecued burger at the newly opened Whisky Hill Golf Grill while watching the competition, and browse the Golf Pro Shop for great deals on brand name merchandise. Call 970-949-5267 to book tee times at the EagleVail course. Visit www.eaglevailgolfclub.com for more information.

For a quick game in between parades and barbecues, drop in and play nine holes at Willow Creek, the valley's only public Par 3 course. Call 970-845-7273.

Tennis aficionados will enjoy the beautiful surroundings for a few sets of tennis. And the whole family will enjoy creating their own play on the nearby Great Lawn. EagleVail is the perfect place to play this holiday week where there is fun for the entire family.
