The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain is pleased to announce that it has completed an $875,000 expansion of its meeting space to now offer 7,500 total square feet of unique event space.

The Westin Riverfront's new Gondola Ballroom features more than 2,800 square feet of flexible space with expansive windows and opens up onto the Westin's Gondola Plaza, the perfect spot for an outdoor luncheon, reception or team-building event. The space is located just steps from the resort's ski valet and Riverfront Express Gondola, offering easy access for attendees to enjoy a quick ski break on Beaver Creek Mountain. It can accommodate up to 275 people and be divided into three separate rooms.

The Westin Riverfront also now offers the Lift Café, which can host up to 40 people for a breakout session, breakfast meeting, luncheon or rehearsal dinner. The resort also offers the Whitewater Lounge, which can hold a smaller event or executive board meeting of up to 20 people.

The new space compliments The Westin Riverfront's existing 4,000 square foot Riverside Ballroom, which offers floor-to-ceiling windows with spectacular Beaver Creek views and can be divided into four rooms and accommodate up to 350 people. Adjacent to the Riverside Ballroom is a 2,000-square-foot outdoor banquet terrace, which overlooks the beautifully landscaped Riverfront Wedding Lawn and the Eagle River. The resort also offers the kayak-themed Rapids Room, with boardroom seating for up to 16 people.

In celebration of the new space, The Westin Riverfront has rolled out a special offer for planners: Book a 2012 meeting in the Gondola Ballroom on a Sunday – Thursday and receive a $149 rate on our studio suites. There is a 10 room night minimum; based on availability. To book, please call 970-790-3060 or visit

The resort's Food & Beverage department is overseen by internationally acclaimed Chef Richard Sandoval, who also runs Cima, The Westin Riverfront's contemporary Latin restaurant.

The Westin Riverfront – which was ranked the #2 U.S. Resort by Condé Nast Traveler in its 2011 Readers' Choice Awards – was very proud to be the first hotel in Colorado to achieve Silver LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Located in the heart of Colorado's magnificent Vail Valley, the AAA Four Diamond Westin Riverfront features 230 finely appointed guest residences ranging from studio suites to three-bedroom condominiums, all featuring custom kitchens, five-piece bathrooms and gas fireplaces.

In the winter, The Westin Riverfront is connected to Beaver Creek's spectacular ski terrain via the Riverfront Express Gondola. In the spring, summer and fall, guests can enjoy unparalleled access to hiking, biking, kayaking, fly fishing and golfing. Amenities at the dog-friendly resort include a ski valet, on-site ski and snowboard rentals, a Westin Kids Club, a year-round outdoor pool and three riverside hot tubs.

The Westin Riverfront also recently completed a $1 million expansion of its Athletic Club to offer 4,000 square feet of new exercise studio space, including a dedicated Pilates Studio and expanded yoga and Cycling studios. Spa Anjali – which was ranked #2 in Condé Nast Traveler's “Top 100 U.S. Resort Spas” for 2011 - offers an extensive menu of treatments focusing on healing mountain traditions and features a full-service salon and spa boutique.

The Westin Riverfront has earned numerous awards since it opened in 2008, including being named to Condé Nast Traveler's “Hot List 2009” as one of the 140 hottest new resorts worldwide, as well as ranked 2nd in the “10 Best Snow Resorts for Families 2010” by Parents magazine. The resort has also been honored by SKI, Smart Meetings, Mountain Living Magazine and Colorado Meetings + Events.
