The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain is very proud to announce that it has been ranked #2 in the “150 Top Resorts, Mainland U.S.” by Condé Nast Traveler in its 2011 Readers' Choice Awards.

Out of the magazine's “Top 100 Travel Experiences” in the world, The Westin Riverfront was ranked #31 and is the only Colorado hotel to be featured.

The Westin Riverfront – which was named the #1 U.S. Resort by the magazine last year - is thrilled to remain at the top of this prestigious list, which compiled votes from nearly 29,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers this spring. The 2011 survey was released today and will be featured in the November issue of the magazine out on newsstands Oct. 18.

“We are very pleased to have been ranked so highly once again by the well-traveled readers of Condé Nast Traveler,” said Westin Riverfront General Manager Bob Trotter. “We truly appreciate the continued support of our amazing guests and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for another excellent ski season.”

Opened in 2008, the Silver LEED certified Westin Riverfront is continuously looking for ways to enhance the guest experience. The resort is currently undergoing a $1 million expansion of its Wellness Center, including 4,000 square feet of new exercise studio space, as well as the completion of an additional 2,000 square feet of meeting space. Both projects will be completed by winter.

Also new for the 2011-2012 ski season – internationally acclaimed Chef Richard Sandoval is transforming Restaurant Avondale into a contemporary Pan Latin kitchen that blends traditional Latino flavors with global ingredients and cooking techniques. Dishes will be prepared using fresh market produce, sustainable seafood, locally raised meats and specialty products from local purveyors.

Located in the heart of Colorado's magnificent Vail Valley at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain, the AAA Four Diamond Westin Riverfront features 230 finely appointed guest residences ranging from studio suites to three-bedroom condominiums, all featuring custom kitchens, five-piece bathrooms and gas fireplaces.

Nestled on the banks of the Eagle River, The Westin Riverfront is connected to Beaver Creek's spectacular ski terrain via the Riverfront Express Gondola. Amenities at the dog-friendly resort include a ski valet, on-site ski and snowboard rentals, a Westin Kids Club, the state-of-the-art Athletic Club at The Westin, a year-round outdoor pool and three riverside hot tubs.

Spa Anjali – which was ranked #2 in Condé Nast Traveler's “Top 100 U.S. Resort Spas” for 2011 - offers an extensive menu of treatments focusing on healing mountain traditions and features a full-service salon and spa boutique.

The Westin Riverfront now features 6,200 square feet of flexible indoor meeting space, offering floor-to-ceiling windows with amazing Beaver Creek Mountain views, plus the beautifully landscaped Riverfront Wedding Lawn and the adjoining 2,000-square-foot outdoor banquet terrace.

The Westin Riverfront has earned numerous awards since it opened, including being named to Condé Nast Traveler's “Hot List 2009” as one of the 140 hottest new resorts worldwide, as well as ranked 2nd in the “10 Best Snow Resorts for Families 2010” by Parents magazine. The resort has also been honored by SKI, Smart Meetings, Mountain Living Magazine and Colorado Meetings + Events.
