Vail Police vs. Vail Fire benefit softball game postponed till Oct. 15

October 8, 2011
Due to inclement weather, the Vail Police vs. Vail Fire benefit softball game has been rescheduled for Oct 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Ford Park softball fields in Vail. The Vail Police and Fire Departments will be hosting a barbeque, raffle and silent auction, as well as a bouncy castle for kids donated by Jump to It, Inc.

Prizes for the raffle and silent auction items have expanded and now include an unrestricted Epic Pass donated by Vail Resorts, a mammogram donated by the Shaw Regional Cancer Center, memberships to the Aria Spa and Club, the Gypsum Recreation Center, and Costco, gift certificates from The Red Lion, The George, The Tap Room, Pazzo's Pizza, City Market, Vail Conoco, and Heidi's Deli, spray tans from Tuscany Tans, bus passes from ECO Transit, a 2012 pool pass from the Eagle Vail Metro District and items from West Vail Liquor.

Other sponsors include the Town of Vail, 1st Bank of Vail and the Vail Recreation District. The Vail Police Dept will continue accept donations for the raffle and silent auction throughout the week. All of the proceeds from the raffle and silent auction will be used to offset Robyn's mounting medical bills.

For more information about the game or to make a donation, please contact Det. Justin Liffick at 479-2339 or jliffick@vailgov.com.
